My name is Ntina Papaefthimiou..
Ntina, which comes from Constantina. Since 2006 I am working as a licenced tourist guide at the area of Meteora , central Greece. I live into the town of Kalambaka and I give guided tours of Meteora, in the monasteries, around the rock area and to the surroundings throughout the year.
Having graduated from the School of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, I gave exams to the School of Guides in Athens, I passed my exams and I spent three years to study so as to complete my education and to get my licence from the ministry of TOURISM and to be qualified to work as a certified national guide of Greece.
As a tourist guide I have received education of high level so as to provide in an excellent way my services to all the foreigners and the Greek visitors. It is absolutely necessary every visitor of Greece to know that the Licenced tourist Guides are the ONLY ones who are being trained to practice the profession of a tourist GUIDE in Greece and to provide their professional services to every visitor.
All licensed guides in Greece should have a badge that looks like the one you see below.
When you contact people on the internet that present themselves as “guides”, don’t hesitate to ask their credentials.
When I was accepted in the School of Guides , I felt from the first moment that I was in the right place and this is what I really want to do…. I spent almost three years to study, beautiful but very demanding years… a lot to see and to learn!! I made it and as soon as I got my licence, I made a decision….to live and to work as guide at the region of METEORA….the most interesting , beautiful and special landscape of Greece, to my eyes!!!
I will be very happy to share with every visitor my knowledge and my experience of a place that I know so well…. Let s make together this trip..let s come closer to the past and the present of Meteora…let s feel the value of the site and the beauty of the nature..
